THE PUBLIC ACCESS SCHEME

I am authorised to accept instructions pursuant to the Public Access Scheme. The Sceme allows individuals and organisations to instruct a barrister directly without the need to instruct a solicitor. Under this scheme I can:

    • Give advice
    • Draft letters and other legal documentation
    • Take Witness Statements
    • Attend hearings as your advocate
    • Conduct negotiations on your behalf.

Not all work is suited to the Public Access Scheme, however, and I will be unable to accept some instructions if I think that it would be in your best interests to instruct a solicitor.

More details of this scheme can be found on the Bar Council's website (www.barcouncil.org.uk)
