The Public Access Scheme
I am authorised to accept instructions pursuant to the Public Access Scheme. The Sceme allows individuals and organisations to instruct a barrister directly without the need to instruct a solicitor. Under this scheme I can:
-
Give advice
-
Draft letters and other legal documentation
-
Take Witness Statements
-
Attend hearings as your advocate
-
Conduct negotiations on your behalf.
Not all work is suited to the Public Access Scheme, however, and I will be unable to accept some instructions if I think that it would be in your best interests to instruct a solicitor.
More details of this scheme can be found on the Bar Council's website (www.barcouncil.org.uk)
Pro Bono Work
I undertake some pro bono work. You can find more information about the Bar Pro Bono Unit at www.barprobono.org.uk
